dr. qin is a professor and principal investigator at the state key laboratory of pharmaceutical biotechnology, nanjing university. he received his bachlor’s degree in clinical medicine from wannan medical college in 1993, and his master’s degree in biochemistry and molecular biology from peking university health science center in 1996. in 2004, he received his ph.d. in regulatory biology from cleveland state university, where he conducted his graduate research at the cleveland clinic foundation. he then pursued post-doctoral work as a research fellow and assistant in genetics at massachusetts general hospital, harvard medical school. he joined the medical school at nanjing university in 2013. dr. qin’s research focuses on elucidating the molecular mechanisms that underlie embryonic stem cell self-renewal and differentiation.
