dr. cai is an associate professor at the medical school and chemistry and biomedicine innovation center at nanjing university in china. he earned his b.eng. degree from jilin university and his ph.d. from nanyang technological university in singapore. prior to joining nanjing university, he was a research fellow at nanyang technological university. in late 2021, dr. cai established the translational mechanomedicine lab (tml) at nanjing university, which focuses on the fundamental and translational research on multiscale biomechanical interfaces. dr. cai has also served as a guest editor for frontiers in chemistry (2020) and international journal of bioprinting (2022), associate editor for advances in translational medicine, and session chair of the international conference of biomedical engineering (2019).
