xiaodong han received her bs, ms, and ph.d. degree in the division of zoology, school of life sciences, nanjing university in 1984, 1987, and 2004, respectively. she joined the faculty of the medical school of nanjing university in 1987 and worked as a visiting professor at beth israel deaconess medical center of harvard medical school in 2001. since 2004, she has been appointed as a full professor in the medical school of nanjing university. her research interests include reproduction and development, environmental pollution and disease occurrence, stem cells, and tissue regeneration. in 2017, she won the baosteel excellent teacher award, and in 2021, she was awarded the “zhao shiliang chair professor” of nanjing university. she is a member of the preclinical medicine teaching advisory board under the ministry of education and director general of jiangsu society for anatomical sciences.
