bin yang obtained his ms in ultrasound medicine from xi’an medical university in 1988, and his phd from the second military medical university in 2002. since 2002, he has been serving as the director of the department of diagnostic ultrasound at the general hospital of eastern theater command. he is a doctoral and postdoctoral supervisor, and has trained over 50 masters, doctors, and post-docs. he has authored more than 200 papers and reviews, out of which over 36 are sci papers, and has edited, co-edited or participated in more than 20 monographs.
he has been the recipient of three second-class awards for medical achievements in the military, two third-class awards for scientific and technological progress in the military, and one first-class award for scientific and technological progress by the ministry of education (as the second finisher). he has also been funded by two projects under the national natural science foundation of china, one project under the nanjing military region science and technology innovation project, one project under the nanjing military region medical and health research fund, and one major science and technology project for social development in jiangsu province.
