fangyu wang obtained his bachelor’s degree from the fourth military medical university in 1986, and joined jinling hospital that same year as a physician in the department of gastroenterology and hepatology. he received his master’s degree in medicine from tongji medical university in 1993, and his ph.d. from osaka medical college in japan in 2001. he also received the sasakawa medical scholarship and worked as an associate visiting researcher in the department of gastroenterology at fujita health university in japan from 2006 to 2007.
in 2010, dr. wang was appointed as a professor at nanjing university. he currently serves as a senior doctor and professor at the department of gastroenterology and hepatology, jinling hospital, and is the principal investigator of nsfc projects. additionally, he is a principal investigator at the state key laboratory of pharmaceutical biotechnology at nanjing university.
