yi shen is the director of the cardiothoracic surgery department and chief physician at jinling hospital. he is also a doctoral supervisor at nanjing university. from 2013 to 2014, he worked as a visiting scholar at the university of california, davis medical center. currently, he leads the cardiothoracic surgery department of jinling hospital, and is the chairman-designate of the thoracic surgery branch of the jiangsu medical association. dr. shen’s research focuses on understanding the molecular mechanisms of non-small cell lung cancer and esophageal cancer progression, including the effects of non-coding rnas on tumors and the related clinical research on minimally invasive treatments for thoracic cancers.
