xinying wang received her bachelor’s degree, ph.d., and m.d. from nanjing university in 1999 and 2003, respectively. in 2003, she joined jinling hospital, affiliated hospital of the medical school, nanjing university. from 2012 to 2013, she worked as a visiting scholar in the department of surgery at the university of wisconsin. in 2015, she was appointed as the deputy director of the research institution of general surgery pla, and the head of the clinical nutrition service center at jinling hospital, affiliated hospital of the medical school, nanjing university. she was awarded the 16th china youth science and technology award and the national scientific and technological progress award in 2020. as the corresponding author, she has published more than 70 sci articles, including in journals such as nat metab, jama surgery, and cmgh.
