hu weixin is a professor of medicine at nanjing university medical school and serves as the deputy director of research institute of nephrology at jinling hospital. he is also an executive committee member of the chinese society of nephrology, vice president of the chinese nephrologist association, and a former chairman of the jiangsu society of nephrology. he graduated from nanjing medical college (now nanjing medical university) in 1985, and received his ms degree in 1991 and doctoral degree in 2006 from the second military medical university. his research primarily focuses on the pathogenesis and development of new therapies for glomerular diseases such as lupus nephritis and anca-associated vasculitis. he has presided four national level or jiangsu provincial natural science foundation projects, and has published more than 200 papers in both domestic and international journals. he has received multiple national and provincial scientific research achievement awards, and has been recognized as one of the key medical personnel and leading health talents in jiangsu province.
