mengliang zhou received his md and ph.d. degrees from the medical school, nanjing university in 2003 and 2007, respectively. he joined the department of neurological surgery at jinling hospital in 2007. from 2008 to 2010, he completed his post-doctoral research fellowship at washington university in st. louis in the united states under the guidance of dr. gregory zipfel. upon returning to china, he continued to serve as faculty in the department of neurological surgery at jinling hospital, and was appointed as the vice-director of the department in 2022. his clinical and research interests focus on hydrocephalus, brain trauma, and brain hemorrhage. as a principal investigator, he has received fundings from various sources, including the natural science foundation of china (nsfc), to study the pathophysiology of subarachnoid hemorrhage, traumatic brain injury, and hydrocephalus. as of 2023, he has published over 100 peer-reviewed articles.
