dr. shuai chen earned his ph.d. degree in 2005 from the university of halle-wittenberg in germany. from 2006 to 2011, he conducted his postdoctoral research in the field of cell signaling and molecular physiology at the mrc protein phosphorylation unit, university of dundee in the uk. in 2012, dr. chen joined the model animal research center, medical school of nanjing university as a principal investigator and a professor of molecular physiology. he is recognized as the distinguished young scholars by the national natural science foundation in 2020, and the new century excellent talents by the ministry of education in 2013.
