huiming gao received her bachelor’s degree in 1993 in clinical medicine, her master’s degree in 1996 and her doctoral degree in 2003, all from dalian medical university. she was a co-trained ph.d. student at the national institute of environmental health sciences (niehs) and national institutes of health (nih, usa). following her postdoctoral training at the university of pennsylvania school of medicine and niehs/nih, she joined the model animal research center (marc), nanjing university, as a full professor in 2013. she joined the faculty of the medical school at nanjing university in 2018, and is currently a principal investigator and professor in the state key laboratory of pharmaceutical biotechnology, marc, medical school, nanjing university. dr. gao’s research interests include neuroinflammation, neurodevelopment, and neurodegeneration.
